Moving through life we can experience periods of joy and happiness but also of difficulty, suffering and sometimes even crisis. This could be due to a bereavement, the loss of a relationship or job, or another supportive pillar in your life. You might be feeling stuck in patterns of anxiety, fear or anger that you cannot explain but that are preventing you from living your life fully.
The choice to enter into therapy is a caring act for yourself and others around you. I warmly welcome your whole self and endeavour to create a nurturing environment for us to work together.
In our sessions we will explore the connection between mind, body and spirit by paying attention to thoughts, feelings and the bodily sensations as they arise in the moment. My intention is to meet you in your experience with compassion.
My role as a Core Process Psychotherapist is to be in service to your inherent health. This lies at the core of your being and is always present. We will work at your speed and capacity, there is no forcing of anything. As we attend to your experience with curiosity and kindness, important shifts can take place that allow for self-wisdom and healthier ways of being to emerge.
I have previously worked in hospitals, prisons and schools as a workshop facilitator and I am acutely aware of how historical experiences, trauma and on-going and unfortunate life events can impact our nervous systems and ability to function on a day-to-day basis. I now work with adults experiencing a wide range of issues. I have particular experience and interest in (but not limited to) anxiety, anger, depression, bereavement, life transitions and also prenatal, childhood, inter-generational and ancestral trauma.
I draw on a wide range of resources and approaches to meet you in this work, which are always in response to your needs. I also welcome any creative and imaginative work (eg art, music, writing) or dreams that you may wish to bring to our sessions.
I am a senior student in Core Process Psychotherapy and work from my home in Fulbourn, just outside of Cambridge. I offer sessions both online and in person.
